In my 2.5 years working in a comic book shop back in the early 2000’s, I never sold a single Guardians of the Galaxy comic book. I couldn’t even tell you who any of those characters even were prior to 2014. (I’m a bona fide Marvel girl and everything!) I was pretty blown away back in 2013 when news hit that Marvel was going to release this comic book adaptation on mostly unknown characters even to geeks like me. I was pretty annoyed because I still wanted a Black Widow or Captain Marvel movie (enter new Red Sparrow trailer and upcoming Captain Marvel movie!) and didn’t care about these vagabonds. In fact, I didn’t even see the movie in the theatre (for shame) since I thought it would be a DUD (and I had a new baby didn’t help). Anyway, years later, I still haven’t read a GOTG comic, but I very much enjoy the movies!! I’d even go as far to say the second movie is better that the first in may ways. I love a good father-son-bonding movie, and I feel like this is one of the first ones that hit that theme out of the park.
I hope you like my pattern! I really enjoyed making Star-Lord and that obscene coat along with Baby Groot! Mantis was fun as well. I loved the ending! My favorite part is silly and it involves Kraglin singing the line about “soup!” I have been on a major soup kick lately, so I can’t stop singing that song.
