This week has been an overabundance of Star Wars nerdiness! The new Instagram trailer post with Finn lighting up the lightsaber made my day on Thursday. Did you know that the toy industry is expecting a 6% increase in toy sales this Christmas season BECAUSE of the upcoming Star Wars movie? On top of that, do you KNOW what next Friday is? (September 7th??) Oh, it is just FORCE FRIDAY! The day the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Wave 1 toys are released. I am super excited for this, and I hope to get my hands on a Rey, Finn, and Dameron Poe figure. I am a toy collector (especially X-men and Star Wars toys) so I always look forward to the major releases. (By the way, I open the toys. I don’t have any of them in a box other than my Masters of the Universe Classic figures which I plan to give to Audrey). I try not to spoil any of these movies, and when Attack of the Clones came out, I definitely bought the Anakin figure and was spoiled once I realized Anakin’s arm would fall off. Why would that happen? Oh crap! Does he lose his arm??? So yes, I worked on some fun Padmé and Anakin cross stitch patterns. I have an idea to do a Padmé Amidala pattern because I absolutely love her fashion. (I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again, if I ever win the lottery, I am going to give Trisha Biggar all my money and have her design clothes for me.) So we will see what happens when I get back from vacation. Meanwhile, here’s a throwback picture from 2005 at Celebration III in Indianapolis. Unfortunately, it’s hard to see Darth Vader, but I look so happy. My hair color came from a box! Oh the days! P.S. If you want to lose hours in an app, download the Star Wars app. Seriously, the Soundboard will give you pleasure for hours in itself.

I’ll update soon with my Disney Princess cross stitch pattern!
We are heading to California in a few weeks, and we are going to brace for Disneyland. I know Audrey is so young, but she already knows who Mickey and Minnie Mouse are, so we might as well go, right?
